Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for building, leading, and developing the Purchasing team and will be expected to build procurement solutions for the business for a greenfield startup facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning, directing and coordinating all purchasing activities, negotiating and enforcing Nucor's commercial and legal contract terms and conditions, developing and maintaining relationships with key vendors/contractors, contributing to Nucor enterprise-wide purchasing efforts, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, and coordinating with operating departments on cost savings and improved processes.
Nucor Steel West Virginia's is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is located in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
