PerimeterSecurityPartnersislookingforamotivatedandprofessionaltravelingInstallationSuperintendentwithstrongconstructiontradeexperiencetoinstallactivevehiclebarriers(AVB),securityfencing,personnelgates,bollards,undergroundelectricaldistribution(conduitpathways),concreteequipment/parkingpads,andpassivevehiclebarrier(PVB)equipmentataccesscontrolpoints(ACPs)throughouttheUnitedStates.Projectsiteswillincludemilitaryinstallations,federalgovernmentfacilities,industrialsites,datacenters,majorsportingandeventvenues,andothercommercialfacilities. TheSuperintendentisresponsibleformanagingthephysicalconstructionofAVB,PVB,fence,andrelatedACPequipmentataprojectsitewithsupportfromaremoteProjectManager.Theyshouldhaveadvancedproficiencywithexcavation;reinforcedconcreteplacement;chainlink,palisade,andwelded-wirefenceinstallation;trenchingandconduitinstallation;theabilitytosafelyoperateamini-excavator,forklift,andskidsteer;demonstratedcapabilitytodirecttheeffortsof2-4crewmembers;andthecapacitytoprocurematerials,rentequipment,tracklaborhours,andcompletedailyreports.Thepositionrequiressomeonewithanoutstandingworkethic,acommitmenttomanagingasafeworkenvironmentfortheirteam,goodinterpersonalandsupervisoryskills,andtheabilitytoplanandexecutequalitywork. TheSuperintendentreportsdirectlytotheGeneralSuperintendent. Duties: Mustbeabletoworkindependentlywithlittlesupervisionandremotesupport,andtobeapositiverepresentativetoclientsforPerimeterSecurityPartners. Directlysupervise,train,monitorattendance,andassigntaskstoinstallationcrewandensuretheprojectiskeptonschedule. Monitorworkersinconstructionmethods,equipmentoperation,safetyprocedures,andcompanypolicies. CoordinatecloselywithPSP’sGeneralSuperintendent,PSPProjectManagers,ClientiteRepresentatives,andotherpersonneltosafelyconductassignedworkwhileminimizingoperationalimpacts. Createthe3-weeklook-aheadscheduleanddeliverweeklyupdatestotheProjectManager. Overseeworkplansandteamactivitiestoensurecompliancewithapplicabledesignandcontractdocuments,safetycriteria,andcompanypolicy. Conductdaily“toolboxtalks”whichaddressapplicablesafetytopics,emphasizesafeuseofalltoolsandequipment,andenforcetheproperuseofPPE. Recordandreportsafetyincidents/accidents. Readandinterpretconstructionspecifications,drawings,andotherdocumentstoverifyrequirements,identifyworkareas,layoutequipmentandmaterial,andexecuterequiredtasks. Locate,measure,andmarksitelocationsforequipmentfoundations,posts,andotherstructures,usingbestpracticestoprotectandavoidexistingutilities,structures,vegetation,andotherobstructions. ClearlycommunicatewithProjectManagers,Clientrepresentatives,subcontractors,andotherstakeholderstocoordinateworkandverifysatisfactorycompletionofallrequirements. Developmaterial/equipmentlistsandworkloadestimatesfornewinstallationsandtocorrectdeficiencies. Ensureallconstructionequipmentisbeingproperlymaintainedandinspectedperiodicallywhileonsite. Ensuretheprojectsiteiscleanandsafeatalltimes. Providedailyreportsonequipmentcondition,workperformed,andupcomingplans. AssisttheProjectManagerwithroutinecommunication,includinge-mailandtelephoniccontactwithvendors,subcontractors,andcustomers. Draftandorganizedailyelectronicdocumentationfollowingeachinstallationorrepairvisit,includingcompilingreceiptsandprocessingexpenses,obtainingClientapprovalsignature(s)onpunchlistitems,updatingas-builtdrawings,andpreparingotherclose-outdocuments. Requirements,Skills,and Qualifications: HighSchoolDiplomaisrequired. Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering,constructionmanagement,orarelatedfieldispreferred. Minimumofthreeyearsofexperienceasaconstructionsupervisor/foreman,orsuperintendentisrequired. Minimumoffiveyearsofexperiencewithexcavation,theplacementofreinforcedconcrete,and/ortheinstallationofindustrialfencing. Demonstratedabilitytoreceive,understand,andimplementdetailedconstructionrequirements,projectplans,andconstructionprocesseswithoutadditionalsupervision. Abilitytoreadandunderstandconstructiondrawingsandinstallationdetails. MustpossessavalidREALIDdriver’slicense. MustbeabletoworkintheUnitedStateswithoutsponsorship. Mustbeabletopassabackgroundcheckanddrugtesttopermitaccesstomilitaryinstallationsandsimilarcontrolledareas. Highlydesireexpertiseandknowledgeinoperatingheavyequipment(mini-excavator,backhoe,frontendloader,skidsteer,forklift,lull,manlift,etc.). PhysicalRequirements: Abilitytoworkoutdoorsinarangeoftemperatures,weather,andperiodsofdarkness. Abilitytostandforprolongedperiodsoftime. Abilitytoclimbaladder. Abilitytosafelyliftatleast50poundstowaistlevel.
